How to get around

Staying at the Oasis or Suite in central Bologna means being in the perfect location for exploring the city with ease. Bologna's historic center is compact and pedestrian-only, making it ideal for walking, but convenient public transportation options are also available if needed.

Standing

Most of Bologna's main attractions are within walking distance:

• Piazza Maggiore – 5 minutes
• The Two Towers (Asinelli and Garisenda) – 7 minutes
• Mercato di Mezzo (Food Market) – 8 minutes
• Bologna Central Train Station – 12 minutes

By public transport

Bologna has an efficient bus system operated by TPER. The nearest stops are just a short walk away, allowing you to quickly reach any point in the city. Tickets can be purchased at newsstands, tobacconists, or via the "Roger" app.

In taxi e rideshare

• Taxi – You can call a taxi at 39 051 372727 or use the MyTaxi app.
• Car sharing and scooter rental: Services like Enjoy and Corrente offer car sharing options, while BIT and Zig Zag offer electric scooter rentals.

By train and day trips

Bologna Centrale, the main train station, is just a short walk away and offers high-speed rail connections to:

• Florence – 35 minutes
• Milan – 1 hour
• Venice – 1.5 hours
• Rome – 2 hours

Parking

If you arrive by car, please note that the historic center is a ZTL (Limited Traffic Zone). There are several paid parking lots nearby:

• Parking Piazza VIII Agosto – 2-minute walk
• Garage Indipendenza – 5-minute walk

What a hidden gem! This apartment was fantastic. The beds were super comfortable. Right in the center of bars and restaurants. Walking distance to pretty much everything you need to see. Great communication with the owners. You can't fault this place. I'll definitely be back. I loved the private garden.

A week ago, I stayed at Oasis in the Center and it was a fantastic experience! The apartment is gorgeous, thoughtfully designed, and spotlessly clean. The garden is the real gem: a peaceful and relaxing retreat that made our stay even more special. The host was incredibly kind and welcomed us with a bottle of wine, a thoughtful gesture we greatly appreciated. If I ever return to Bologna, I have no doubts: I will book here again.
